Harriet Himmel Theater, A Historic Site at Rosemary Square
In celebration of West Palm Beach’s 125 anniversary, Rosemary Square is reflecting on the incredible history of the Harriet Himmel Theater. While the city has certainly changed around it, the theater has always served as a community and cultural center since its creation in 1926.
The theater, host to many beautiful weddings throughout the year, also welcomes the Christ Fellowship congregation into its door each Sunday. In October, participants in the A21 March for Freedom, a global walk to raised awareness about human trafficking, meet at the theater, and in September, student activities gathered at the theaters step to kick off their climate strike. The Kretzer Piano Music Foundation’s popular Music for the Mind concert series also calls the theater home.
