April Art Activities in West Palm Beach
If you are looking to experience art or create it for yourself, look no further than West Palm Beach. CityPlace is hosting multiple art activities and events this month. Learn more about these below.
The Art Affair happened at the beginning of April in downtown West Palm Beach. This was a 7-day long art festival that included live music, art experiences, delicious food, and shopping deals. During the Art Affair, there were various ways to exercise your creative muscles through art classes like Figure Drawing with Charles Bane or a Body Chakra Yoga Class. The Art Affair also featured multiple opportunities to try out Whisperlodge: Day Dream. This event, which Netflix recently featured in a documentary called Follow This, is a live sound meditation. Whisperlodge: Day Dream was a big hit during the Art Affair and featured live performance, binaural surround sound, and immersive ASMR experiences. The last two days of the Art Affair finished off with the Downtown West Palm Beach Arts Festival, which showcased over 75 artists and their work.
While the Art Affair only lasted from April 1st through the 7th, its impact is not entirely gone. One of the events during the Art Affair was the creation of Free Little Libraries by teaching artists Brent Bludworth and Jennifer Love Gironda. They created five library structures that have an ocean/wave theme which they are placing throughout CityPlace in Palm Beach for you to enjoy. Another way the Art Affair lives on is through a discount on tickets to the Downton Abbey exhibit. If you use the code ARTAFFAIR5, you can get $5 off your Downton Abbey Exhibition ticket now through April 22nd. Even if you didn’t get the chance to check out the Art Affair for yourself, you can still enjoy the little libraries and take advantage of a discount on tickets to the Downton Abbey exhibit.
